the aristocracy, who had fallen behind the times, were gradually finding their lives in difficulty——

Even though it was in the middle of an evening party celebrating her birthday, Yuriko Nomiya was alone in her room.

In the midst of this turmoil, Yasuyuki was murdered by someone.
Yuriko was so overwhelmed by what had happened that she forgot all her anger and resentment, and just stood there in shock.
