Blancbourg is a town near to the border of France.
Each spring the Reve Traveling Amusement Park comes into town.
The protagonist, Emma, who lives in Blancbourg, visits Reve, led by a carousel (manège) music box, a keepsake from her father.
In front of that carousel she meets the director of the park and learns a secret.

While working in the park, Emma aims to awaken the magic within herself in order to save them.
